This is an advertising platform only for 3rd parties to make their goods available for potential buyers. We do not get involved in the financial or physical transaction. This is the responsibility of the buyer and seller. That being said we recommend both buyer and seller use precautions as much as possible;

• Ideally try and purchase the item in person wherever possible.
• If expensive, consider an escrow service. You'll need to research those available.
• Ask for details of the person's online presence. Whether Facebook or other social media channels, memberships. If they are a ghost, they may just be the older generation, but it can be useful to see their online presence these days.
• Ask for a receipt for both the deposit and balance if applicable.
• Buyers, if you are buying a boat, ask for as many pictures/videos that you need before you make a potentially long trip. Sellers, facilitate this as best you can. Purchasing a boat is an expensive item. Either finanacially, and if cheap, usually in your time after! Both are valuable.
• For both buyers and sellers, the old phrase still works today. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
• Lastly, if it doesn't feel right, walk away and consider reporting the buyer/seller to us if your reasons are genuine. We may need to ask you for some evidence.

Login in and head to your listing. Click on the Edit tab and scroll down until you see the Sold Item checkbox. Select that and save and you're done. We do not allow deleting the adverts for SEO and interest purposes. It is especially useful for certain items for sale. Should you need a listing deleted, please contact us with details as to why.

This a core part of our site. When and where we feel we can best help sell your boat, we will share it on social media. This is a requirement for listing on the site under the terms and conditions.
